How Can ECS Help
As a fundamental component of offered services, ECS provides LEED® consulting to assist its client in the USGBC Certification process for their projects. Our “Green Team” made up of architects, engineers, scientists and LEED Accredited Professionals (LEED® APs), have strong skills, knowledge and understanding of green building practices and principles to successfully complete the LEED® certification process. They work closely with our clients to identify their specific goals. They offer expertise and creative solutions to achieve LEED® certification, with minimal impact on budget and time.
ECS streamline the application and certification process as follows:
LEED Need Assessment
Once LEED is established as a project requirement, ECS works with the project team to assess the needs of the project and identify the relevant credits. Together with our client, we identify the most suitable design strategies that contribute towards achieving the desired LEED certification level.
Design Phase
Once the desired level of LEED Certification has been identified, ECS works closely with the project team member to ensure the selection of the best design solutions. ECS reviews the design documents and submittals to ensure LEED compliance, and update the LEED scorecard accordingly.
Construction Phase
Following the design phase, ECS offers LEED consulting services during construction. This includes review and implementation of the waste management plan and indoor air quality management plan, documentation of material credits, perform site visits, and attend construction meetings. ECS continues to review plans and specifications to ensure LEED compliance.
Application Submittal
ECS assists the design and construction teams in preparing all appropriate LEED Certification documents for submittal. ECS will then submit the certification application and respond to USGBC review questions and comments.
